Welcome to the world of my ministry, my art and my stories. They are all intertwined in a beautiful mosaic of my God orchestrated life, His Story.
In 2011, I was not an artist. But God made me an artist, then He put me in the best art gallery in Hawaii, then He made me the fastest selling "new artist" in Hawaii.
Make no mistake, stories like this just don't happen.
God took my little faith and ran with it.
Once I was in the best gallery, by the Hand of God, I was praying to sell just 1 piece in a month. He chose to sell my worse piece in less than 4 days. I knew if he could sell my worse piece, he could sell anything I made. And He did, a piece a week on an average, from April 2011 to the fire in August 2023. A MIRACLE.
In one day He put me in, and in one day He took me out.
God gave me the last artist show the week of the fire.
It was by no accident that I had the last featured artist show at Sargent's Gallery, nor was it an accident I wasn't at the gallery the day of the fire.
I never dreamt that my next wave would be a wave of fire.

"Waves of Love" is now "Beauty from Ashes"
After the fire, gallery Director Kim Jacoby called to let me know that someone was sifting through the ashes and one single piece of wall art remained after this horrific destruction took place.
It was my "Waves of Love" piece.
That miraculous find buried under the ashes rejuvenated me to make another piece of art.
My Heart shaped wave has always been my favorite art piece.
"Waves of Love" Full of Light and Hope
Now I will focus my art on that single style that miraculously survived this trial by fire.
Because Love will pass the test.

"Beauty From Ashes"
The Waves of Life story
Maybe you will see your own life as you read my story of my God given waves that created this art.
One day, in 2010, I was sitting on the beach, watching the waves in South Maui pound onto the shore down below the Four Seasons and the Grand Wailea Hotels. While I was there being mesmerized by what I was experiencing, I soon realized that with every wave, they were naturally refining the beach, by softening the sand & polishing the rocks and shells In the midst of all of the pressure provided by the tossing and turning of the ocean turbulence, the beaches were actually becoming a much more beautiful place because of those crashing waves.
During this time in my life, I too was experiencing my own "life refining waves" crashing around and down upon my world. With my personal pains from a loved one dying, a heart break, a job loss, financial loss, family turmoil and other “waves” that we all have at various points in our lives. I was beginning to feel hopeless. Depression was my beach partner. And even though I had a strong faith in God, my troubles and struggles were blinding my faith and I just wanted to end it, as I was being crushed by the real “Waves of Life”. At that very moment on the beach, I saw this as my own refining process.
I soon realized that "life is a beach". Metaphorically speaking of course.
These Maui waves revealed that metaphor of life that changed the way I live and see the struggles we all have to endure. And those of us who believe in the Loving God, don't see the big plan He has for us until the waves pass and then He clears the sand and water from our blurred vision and it all begins to make sense.
That inspirational epiphany motivated me to design and create the first of their kind of these giant metal waves.
~Waves appear during our times of peace and our times of chaos.
They wash in with our highs and lows, our ups and downs, our gains
and losses, in good health and in illness.
They gently roll in while falling in love and sometimes
crash oh so hard when our heart breaks come.
But our "waves" are especially rough, billowing and
many times relentless when we experience the crushing loss
of a loved one, no matter who or what that loved one might be. ~
May my art bring a hopeful reminder of the beautiful refining process that each new wave, no matter what it is, truly represents. Whether it is softening us, smoothing our sharp points or polishing us up, we are becoming more beautiful with each and every wave we experience. And you are a beautiful work of Art!
May your next big waves bring Love, Peace & Joy into your life.

Every new piece I create is a labor of love, knowing that someone who purchases it, already has the "Waves of Life" story embedded in their soul. And the fact they have acquired that piece, means they have also survived their very own "Waves of Life".

- Occasionally I get inspired to make something that is related to a piece of my life. So I made The Raider Wave Silver and Black ~ Pure Elegance.

As a creative soul all of my life, I wasn't able to truly let the gift within to take its course, until the Creator chose to re-create me.
It required my life to come crashing down upon itself, hope, focus, prayer and almost complete solitude in life except for the Light of the World.

I have been using metal most of life from forks and spoons, skates, bicycles, cars and as a rebellious child I would run with scissors in my hand because I lived life on the edge growing up with 8 siblings. Cutting edge metal was really the only medium that would satisfy my life long love of metal.

As a child, our family of 11 would go to the Bodega Bay beaches of Sonoma County. Where my father would scream out, "Get away from the waves they will kill you", I had an unhealthy fear of waves all of my life, until my "wave" epiphany on the beaches of Maui made me scream out, "I will not let the 'Waves of My Life', kill me!" And they didn't.
